The Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences participated in the 57th Session of the Higher Coordination Committee of Arab Joint Action Institutions, affiliated with the League of Arab States, held in Tunis, Tunisia, at the headquarters of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

The Academy's delegation was headed by Dr. Mustafa Hdeib, President of the Academy. The session was chaired by H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, together with Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General. The meetings were organized by the Department of Arab Organizations and Unions of the League of Arab States, headed by Mr. Raed Al-Jabouri, and were held from 14–16 April 2025, with the participation of presidents and directors of Arab specialized organizations and institutions of Arab Joint Action.

The Committee reviewed a number of agenda items, including the follow-up report on the implementation of the decisions adopted during its 56th session, the outcomes of the Arab Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence and Its Ethical Challenges, the Arab Digital Platform for Sustainable Development, as well as several other topics of mutual interest.

Under the agenda item dedicated to initiatives submitted by Arab Joint Action institutions, the Committee reviewed the Arab Alliances for Scientific Research and Innovation Initiative, the first initiative of its kind in the Arab world. Discussions covered its objectives, its role in strengthening Arab cooperation in scientific research and innovation, the progress report, and its 2025–2027 implementation plan.

The Committee emphasized the importance of encouraging Arab Joint Action institutions to participate in and support the initiative's second edition. It also recommended that the Economic and Social Council consider submitting the initiative to the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit level, with the aim of securing the highest level of political support and endorsement.

The next session of the Higher Coordination Committee is scheduled to be hosted by the Association of Arab Universities in Amman, Jordan, in April of next year.
